I tried out two tutorials for wallets that I found on Google. The first one was pretty simple!
Tutorial 1
My wallet didn't turn out nearly as cute as hers, but here's a few pictures!
Now, on to the 2nd tutorial, which was much more difficult! It took several hours & a lot of seam ripping! This was because I chose to use corduroy to make the wallet, but little did I know how difficult that would make things! I think part of my problem may have been that I had the wrong needle. So, I looked for answers on Google and after finding no help I experimented until I found something that worked. So, I put my seam to 10 and my tension all the way to 9 & it helped a whole lot! Even though I didn't find any advice for sewing corduroy while I was looking I did find this: Monkey :) Absolutely adorable! Anyway, here is Tutorial 2. If you have the patience you should really try this. The directions were very clear and it's extremely cute! The only thing I didn't like about the final product was the direction that the zipper pocket is facing, so if i try this again I'll probably flip it over.
Also, I accidentally got ahead of myself and sewed up one of the long pockets, but it still worked out alright. Oh, & this was my first ever attempt at working with a zipper! It turned out pretty well. I decided I wanted to use a button instead of a snap, because I LOVE these big bright buttons! :)
These are awesome!
